Sungur, who usually depicts human beings in his paintings, determines his conceptual basis as human nature, evolution, questioning of existence and civilization; therefore, he takes his motivation from human behavior, the duality between mind and instincts, male-female relationship and the conflict between generations. The poetic rupture in Sungur’s paintings stems from the tragedy created by the instinctive behaviours which contradict the evolution, civilization and finally existence of its figures.
What makes Sungur’s works unique is the fact that he brings together all the compositional elements of art without discrimination with a distinctive harmony. By unifying this harmony of time, space, form and color with history, architecture, sculpture and painting, he describes civilization. The reason why the viewer is irritatated by this depiction is that Sungur himself despises it.

The artist’s main purpose is to put the viewer face to face with his/her own reality, but the viewer can reach this goal only by self-questioning. In this process the artist trusts his intuitions and chooses the method of thinking via painting. As a result, works of art which are created instinctively will give the artist hints of his own nature.
Sungur does not hesitate to overload his visual materials. Combining diferent kinds of images, he uses all of his weapons to shock his viewer. By following the aesthetics of his generation, he not only widens his area of freedom, but also draws attention to the digital habits of his generation.
