NOBODY

This series of ten pieces named “Nobody” by Evren Sungur deals with the subject of belonging. In the series, figures that look like another person has fallen into a place where they do not belong are seen without bodies, only with their portraits. Unlike all animals, being suitable for living in the pursuit of people who create their own habitat is associated with being a human being who does not feel like he belongs anywhere, even in the habitat he has created.

Evren Sungur’un “Nobody” isimli bu on parçadan oluşan serisi aidiyet konusunu ele alıyor. Seride ait olmadığı bir yere adeta başka bir boyuttan düşmüş gibi görünen figürler bedensiz olarak sadece portreleriyle görülmekte. Tüm hayvanların aksine yaşamak için kendi habitatını yaratan insanın doğada yaşamaya uygun olmayışı ile kendini hiçbir yere, kendi yarattığı habitata dahi, ait hissedemeyen insanın trajedisi bağdaştırılıyor.
